Who we are

Flatwater is a product of ResearchTech, Inc., a Delaware corporation at 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. We decide what is collected here and what happens to it. Write to kamil@research.tech about anything on this page.

What we collect, and why

One form on this site collects personal data: the waitlist. It asks for your name, your work email, your company, your role, and a description of what you would build first. We use it to decide who to open early access to, in what order, and to write to you about it. We do not sell it and we do not use it for anything else.

The site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and carries no third-party trackers.

Why we may hold it

Because you asked us to, by ticking the box on the form. That box covers early access and nothing else: it is how we decide who to open it to and how we write to you about it. The second box, which is optional, is the one that lets us send you occasional notes about what we are building. You can withdraw either at any time, by writing to us or by using the unsubscribe link in anything we send, and withdrawing does not undo anything done before you did.

What we send, and how to stop it

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link and our postal address, and we honour an unsubscribe within ten business days. Anything beyond early access goes only to people who ticked the second box; everyone else hears from us about early access and nothing else.

Who processes it

Waitlister, which runs the waitlist and stores the entries on our behalf, and our email provider, which delivers what we send you. Both act on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Until early access has opened and you have decided whether to use Flatwater, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If you never respond, we remove your entry twenty-four months after you left it.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, deletion, or a stop to any further contact. Write to kamil@research.tech and we will answer within thirty days. We do this for anyone who asks, wherever they are. If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have those rights under your own law and can complain to your national data protection authority.
